The Essentra Future Leaders Programme is designed to attract, train and retain talent through a structured 3-year programme. It has been developed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools and support to be successful within Essentra, allowing them to have the opportunity to progress within the organisation. 

The Role

This role will be a key asset in the finance department. The successful candidate will be supporting the department in managing the daily flow of accounting data compilation and reporting, provide ongoing support of general accounting activities, and play a key role in the internal control structure of the organization. This candidate will also be expected to assist in the closing of multiple financial companies. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analysis of general ledger account activity with creation of reconciliation schedules
  • Support of Finance Managers and Finance Director in month end closing processes
  • Support cost accounting and fixed asset processes in the manufacturing environment
  • Assist in the reporting and analysis of key performance measurements for the company’s various financial metrics
  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Plan and periodic Financial Forecasts
  • Review of inventory reports with emphasis on cost valuation analysis
  • Support other functional areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable and the compliance activities associated with them as needed
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports to support the business

The Individual

Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate the following essential attributes: 

  • Completion of a 4 year BA/BS from an accredited university/college in Accounting with a GPA or equivalent of 3.5 or higher with 1 to 2 years’ experience highly desirable 
  • Strong business acumen and able to grasp multiple disciplines 
  • Excellent analytical skills, verbal and written communications
  • Strong commitment to manage deadlines, prioritize work load and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Energetic self-starter, confident and professional
  • Willing and able to travel both domestically and possibly internationally
  • Able to obtain a US passport
