The Essentra Future Leaders Programme is designed to attract, train, and retain talent through a structured 3-year programme. It has been developed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools, and support to be successful within Essentra, allowing them to have the opportunity to progress within the organisation. 

The Role

The successful candidate for this exciting, key role will be part of the Group Procurement team and will be an ideal opportunity to begin a career in procurement learning a broad range of skills, such as D365 and in so doing support a diverse set of the Essentra teams including IT, Finance, Marketing and HR. It would also provide them with the perfect opportunity to network with other junior members of the procurement teams across the Essentra divisions. In support, Essentra would fund study for the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply qualification. 

Job Description

This interesting role comprises of a variety of accountabilities and key activities including the following: 

  • Procurement Spend Analysis and reporting, including tracking savings 
  • Lead on contract document management (using the GEMS tool) and support on contract management activities for EIL/Enabling Functions 
  • Management of the Onboarding and ‘Know Your Supplier’ checks for all EIL suppliers, including managing payment terms to support Essentra’s working capital position 
  • Becoming an ‘expert’ on the use of D365 for Procurement and support all EIL users with queries and training requirements 
  • Supporting cost saving and benchmarking projects by conducting market /supplier research 
  • Undertaking discrete procurement projects to source required services at best value of money 
  • Creating and managing an intranet page for Group Procurement, including communications on Sustainable Procurement initiatives

  • Diplomacy and potential for excellent communication skills 
  • Core Office 365 skills and other digital tools 
  • A strong and committed drive to pursue a career in Procurement
