It has been developed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools, and support to be successful within Essentra, allowing them to have the opportunity to progress within the organisation. 

The Role

The Junior Program Manager is a key role within the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the operational tasks related to the development of production and manufacturing processes (programs), monitoring the performance, and allocating them to those involved in the process – fellow departments, customers, suppliers, etc. They will also be responsible for collating and supplying accurate and timely information. This role will involve a significant amount of inter-departmental collaborative work throughout the process in implementing projects. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate these skills and be able to apply the best practice approach in project coordination. 

Job Description

This exciting role comes with a number of duties and responsibilities including the following:

  • Scheduling processes related to a specific project, considering resource needs and capacity requirements
  • Provides collaboration and ongoing, relevant information to colleagues and stakeholders involved in the implementation of the task
  • Preparation and implementation of detailed project plans. Conduct feasibility analysis on project plans making adaptations where required
  • Coordination of project tasks. Preparation of forward program plans
  • Monitoring the production and core implementation processes of projects 
  • Monitoring the achievement of project targets (KPIs), investigating the findings and make suggestions for future projects 
  • Coordination with project-related customers to meet customer needs and expectations 
  • Finding suppliers, requesting quotes 
  • Preparation of the Project Investment Plan (CAPEX) 

The Individual

Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • Tertiary education (college/university technical or logistics) 
  • Relevant experience in a production environment of 2 years (desirable) 
  • Conversational level ability to speak English 
  • High degree of competency with Excel  
  • Ability to manage both people and tasks 
  • Ability to track specific processes 
  • Conflict management capability 
  • Proactive, proactive, flexible attitude 
  • Positive and cooperative attitude 
  • The following attributes would also be advantageous:  
  • Project management knowledge and experience 
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles 
  • Six Sigma (green belt)
