The Essentra Future Leaders Programme is designed to attract, train and retain talent through a structured 3-year programme. It has been developed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools and support to be successful within Essentra, allowing them to have the opportunity to progress within the organisation. 

The Role

Essentra plc Components Division are looking to hire a HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise to achieve results. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organisation, with accountability for the full employee lifecycle. This will include working closely with the HR Manager and Director to successfully deliver all HR projects and activities. Additionally, the successful candidate should have excellent communication skills to successfully provide a wide range of HR support and advice to enabling functions, and to build strong collaborative relationships across the Division to drive solutions. 

Job Description

HR business partner to all enabling function employees within the Components Division, providing high quality client support, including: 

  • Coaching and mentoring line managers on best practice and people management techniques  
  • Providing support on all employee relation matters as applicable
  • Performance management  
  • Conduct onboarding of new Americas based staff in close liaison with their Manager and other departments 
  • Work in conjunction with the Employee Engagement Taskforce to ensure employee engagement feedback and ideas are captured and acted on as appropriate
  • Provide generalist HR support to Components’ Commercial team and multiple sites in US, Canada and Latin America, including: 
    • Business partner to assigned leaders for all HR matters
    • Lead on all global annual HR activities e.g. merit review and talent and succession planning
    • Support with all global annual HR calendar activities, including but not limited to: talent and succession planning, bonus and merit review activities, and employee engagement survey
  • Data analysis
    • Maintaining global HR data quality
    • Ad hoc reporting and aggregation of data
    • Process improvement activities to simplify and optimise ways of working
    • Other general HR duties

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity 
  • Bachelors Degree 

The following are desirable attributes:

  • Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) 
  • Good Excel knowledge · Advanced PowerPoint and Word skills 
  • 2 years’ experience working in the field of HR 
  • Experience working in an international setting 
  • Masters Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Business

Salary and Benefits
