The Essentra Future Leaders Programme is designed to attract, train, and retain talent through a structured 3-year programme. It has been developed to provide participants with the knowledge, tools, and support to be successful within Essentra, allowing them to have the opportunity to progress within the organisation.
The successful candidate for this exciting, key role will be part of the Legal, Risk & Governance (LRG) Team and will work with the Risk Assurance and Governance teams undertaking duties that are designed to ensure the individual gains a broad and varied knowledge of those areas and has the opportunity and the ability to put knowledge into operational practice.
The role will be split 50:50 between the two disciplines with extensive support and mentoring provided by the
Head of Risk Assurance and Head of Governance with overall placement being managed by the Company Secretary & General Counsel.
This interesting role comprises the following principal accountabilities key activities:
Provide support tasks undertaken, which is likely to extend to a wide variety of tasks and projects, which may include:
Board and Committee Support
Assist with agreeing and arranging Board and Committee meeting dates in line with the business’ plan cycle
Draft and agree Board and Committee agendas
Retain and manage a schedule of forward agendas and matters arising to support business planning across all Divisions and Group
Minute committee meetings
PLC Regulatory compliance
Assist with making regulatory notifications relating to the listing regime
Assist with completion of processes arising from regulatory requirements
Maintain websites and registration so Subsidiary Governance
Develop operational knowledge and maintain GEMs (system used for statutory entities)
Provide support on corporate changes
Support the delivery of risk assurance work, including planning, performing assurance fieldwork and reporting
Assist with the Group’s risk management activities and monitoring processes
Support the monitoring of Essentra’s control environment and the performance of the Risk Assurance function
Assist with the preparation of papers for Audit & Risk Committee, Group Risk Committee and Group Compliance Committee
Environment Social Governance (ESG)
Assist with key initiatives relating to the Company’s ESG activities and their reporting
Work across the Group and Divisions in support of furthering ESG messages
Work on assigned projects either as the project owner or as part of the wider LRG community
Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:
Degree level education and wanting to pursue post-grad qualification, either in Grad CG or Accountancy
Highly competent at analysing & interpreting to gain insight and to drive forward using own initiative
Capable at organising and structuring work
Strong collaboration and influencing skills
Consistent in achieving and driving for results
Diplomacy and potential for excellent communication skills
Strong commercial instinct
Core Office 365 skills and other digital tools
A strong and committed drive to pursue a career Governance or Risk Assurance

Salary and Benefits
£26,000 together with an attractive benefits package including company pension and welcome payment
